Once upon en tide there was a village in small dale. And here there were two gals in love their names were Is and Fer. Lune nuit three beasts appeared, wasting all they there could fiend, leopard wolf end lion. So the village elders took a lamb and dragged a blade in rite, to bleed to plead for aid of higher gods. And so they did, and so it died, but dark remained the nacht. And so they slayd a ram, but nought remained the dark. And so they viledge elders chose among the young to slay them cut. But Is would never let, and called out Cruel do not dare. And so they took poor Is on slab and slayd her depthly down. And so she bled, and so she died, and alight became the night. A patriarc there descended and did speak in thunder words, I received the blood you spilled and invoked am well appeased. Discharge will I the beasts from here and make your vale be plentius. But this I ask you send me every year a youth to feed upon. Go to eastlig mountain topps and there homage re-mercy. And thus the deity spoke and rose and left them to their woe. And halv a yar went over. And so Fer said I go to eastern mountain tops to save my true love’s soul, and if she gone and beyond hope I’ll fight the demon Gott, or else become mere offering and renounce to chairished flesh. And so did Fer fletch bow and darts and set out in the wild. And so it came that walking thus she met the lowpard clawing at a bird. And so Fer took her arc and dart and shot at kettjopard, which roaring fled and left those lieus, never seen again. And as the bird died from its wounds it turned to scarlet bloom, and where it grew all life semed abound. And so Fer picked up the bloom and walked on in the whild. And again it came that walking thus she mat the wolf there clawing at a fish. And so Fer took her arc and dart and shot at vilest varg, which roaring fled and left those lieux, never seen igain. And as the fish died from its wounds it turned to silver pebbles, their weight being passing all compare and strenuous just to lift. And so Fer left there stonns and walked on in the wild. And again it came that walking thus she met the preddish lejon clawing at a stag. And so Fer took her arc and dart and shot at loathsome leo, which roaring fled and left those lyeux never seen igen. And as the stag died from its wounds it turned to twisted thorns, their roots laying waste around and shedding poison death. And so Fer picked careful thorns and walked on in the wirld. Soon did Fer amount to height and slowly climbed up mount, and soon did find a massif gate with fearsome words incribed, Build an altere for my sake and fell and brule the pagan tree, beat and scorn and hate your mate and fight my guerres and bend the knee, shun all doubt and mindless trost, drown the stranger and his kin, guard the wheel from vines and rost, all these gloiries lie within. And so did Fer into the demon’s mount demeine. And here on step she found her lover drained from blood and life. And there she saw the seated god waiting for her kneel. And so she went and voiced, Behold I am your offering. And secretly she chewed upon one petale red of bloom. And so god bent and took herin and swallowed Fher up whole. And here Fer dropped one thorn deep within gott’s gutt, and he being higheternal light mere fell to deepest sleep. And have done that Fer climbed out of depth and left the godly levres. And Fer went to Is and gave her ruby petal, and soon the blode rushed back to face and hon ogoned up her eyes. And they embraced full deep. Then Fer said this My life and wit we must be swift and go to stream where some wondrous stones there be. Together one by one let’s bring them here and fill the god’s own stum. And quick they went and got the stones and plombed them deep within the gods sturmach. And now we run. And so they did. And off they went down mountain back towards their distant hem. And bout halfway they heard a cry from sky. The dieu had woken up, and had risen up to follow. And so they quickund haste. And soon they reached the village gates and called to all could here, Vit the deity comes from mountain top to vale! Let us dig in joined strength a pit as wide as pos, and in the pit plant warfare spears to greet the lord of lost. And so they did full speed they dug and soon had ready pit. And god appeared, lessened in imagesty, and spoke These women two and most empieur sin against my eyes, and must be slain fore me. But the junger folk would not. In group effòr they pushed the god to plunge. But the vieillage elders rushed out no! and threw themselve in pit to lessen divi’s fall, and pierced and crushed with He they down were felled and felt the weight of stones. And burdened god could not ascend. And so the young did cover site with earth and rocks and thorns. And so the god and all the dead lie buried neath the hill, dreaming crying still, yet beasts still roam in world. And Is and Fer were glad and joined in merry bond of life, and through the years would tell all iuths their tale to warn them gainst cruel ideols, as I too here today.
Fin, this tale is donn, and soon my eyes will dim.
